We are: Mary's family, extended family, friends and community. Both people who have known Mary her entire short 20 years, and people who never got to meet her. We are Mary's Voice.

Cindi, a co-founder of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), has shown unwavering community support for Mary's Voice and has generously aided our mission. We deeply appreciate her guidance in our justice advocacy efforts. Here, Cindi shares a poignant victim impact statement regarding the tragedy that befell her and her beloved daughter, highlighting the importance of victims' rights.
Thank you, Cindi.

Artist Spencer Lanning was deeply inspired by Mary, leading her to create a stunning mural for Mary's Voice. This mural draws from a self-portrait that Mary crafted, highlighting her immense talent and passion for photography, which she seldom shared. Knowing this, Spencer sought a wall in the NoDa area, near where Mary was tragically murdered, to honor her memory by painting a portrait of her. This collaboration not only serves as a poignant reminder of Mary's story but also emphasizes community support and justice advocacy for victims' rights. We are excited to relocate this beautiful mobile mural throughout the city of Charlotte to further share her legacy. We are incredibly grateful for this meaningful gift.
* The mural is currently displayed on the lawn of the Johnston YMCA, who have graciously allowed us to showcase it during July—Mary's birthday month and also disability pride month.
Thank you, Spencer.

With her heartfelt writing and revision efforts for Mary's Voice, Liz has demonstrated incredible generosity, kindness, and a deep compassion for the justice advocacy needed for Mary’s case. We are truly grateful for her unwavering commitment to victims' rights and her concern for all that has happened to Mary.
Thank you, Liz.

Jacob, the President of the NoDa Neighborhood and Business Association, has shown remarkable community support during our time of need. He generously dedicated his time to help us secure a location for our candlelight vigil on April 4th, 2021, marking one year since Mary’s body was taken from the apartment. We gathered at a park in NoDa, notably renamed the Davis Flohr Neighborhood Park in honor of a young man with a cleft who tragically lost his life before Mary was murdered. Jacob shared the significance of Davis, making it the perfect site for our vigil. Additionally, Jacob has been a strong advocate for justice, assisting with the Johnston YMCA's installation of Mary's mural on their lawn for the month of July. His genuine compassion towards Mary and her family reflects the shared sentiment of the entire neighborhood. We are grateful for his kindness and community support, as it plays a vital role in advocating for victims' rights and ensuring Mary’s Voice is heard. In the midst of her own grief, Clydia reached out to offer community support to Mary's family and friends. She is a kind-hearted and loving person, as well as a fierce mother advocating for justice for her child. Clydia collaborates with us on justice advocacy efforts surrounding victims' rights and amplifying Mary's Voice. Look for her and us in the legislative halls of the state and in Washington DC, fighting for Qway and for Mary.
Thank you, Clydia.

We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to Maura Soler for the beautiful tribute she created for Mary as we marked the one-year anniversary of her murder. This stunning 3-D Art Gallery perfectly reflected what Mary deserved and may have achieved if she had not been so brutally taken from us. We would like to express our gratitude to the gentlemen at PC Paramedic for their exceptional community support. They have demonstrated great compassion and patience in working with Mary’s Voice, especially in sensitive situations involving victims' rights. Their professionalism and understanding truly stand out. We have collaborated with two gentlemen there who were extraordinarily kind, skilled, and committed to justice advocacy. They stand firmly behind their work.
This is Chris—an all-around great guy who possesses remarkable technological skills. He is always willing to lend a hand to those of us who may not be as tech-savvy. PC Paramedic has been incredibly supportive of Mary and Mary’s Voice. If you encounter any issues with your cell phones, laptops, or computers, we highly recommend reaching out to this dedicated team.
Thank you.

Thank you to these fine gentlemen for their community support in carefully moving Mary's Mural from the exhibit at Milton Rhodes Art Museum back to Charlotte. Despite the raging wind, they skillfully installed the mural on the lawn of the Johnston YMCA in Noda, using zip ties and anchors to secure it safely. We are grateful for their presence, which allowed us to exhibit Mary's Mural during our Vigil and the week she was tragically held and murdered. The mural stood strong, kept securely in place with no incidents during the weeks it was displayed, a testament to our justice advocacy and the importance of Mary's Voice in championing victims' rights.
Thank you, guys.
